Eat Here!

Early this morning, my friend Patrick texts:
"I am taking a day off for a therapeutic bike ride, wanna go?
"Hell, yeah! where ya goin and when?"
"Whenever and wherever, ideas?"
"Ovando. Stray Bullet Cafe. Lunch."
"Deal, meet you at ten."

Earlier this year I posted a story about Ovando, heard good things about the little cafe called "The Stray Bullet" and wished to return. Today was the day. Within a couple of hours Pat and I were off and riding over the Continental Divide at Stemple Pass to Hwy 200 near Lincoln, then west down the Blackfoot River.
Why is this man smiling? LUNCHTIME!

The moment you ride into the town commons, The Stray Bullet immediately looks inviting by the western style facade and hi-top tables on the front porch. Our server, Sue, quickly brings us menus. Before she can turn around to get drinks I ask:
"What's good here?"
"Everything... we serve breakfast all day and if you're hungry.. order a Vaquero."
"Breakfast? hmmm.."
The Colt .45 Sandwich, Pastrami on Rye... yum.
Items on the menu have Old West and firearm related names like: Winchester, Remington and Six-Shooter. I decided to past on breakfast and ordered a Colt .45 Sandwich (not the Malt Liquor); Pat orders the Greenhorn Veggie Sandwich as I suppose he's watching his girlish figure. Both of us order a cup of spicy enchilada soup. Within a flash, our freshly made order is brought to the table and happily consumed on the front porch. Both of us enjoyed the healthy portions on the sandwich fixin's and the distinctive flavor of the Enchilada Soup really made us whoop and holler! Thanks Girls for the great food and hospitality. We'll be back soon to try your Biscuits and Gravy.
The Kyle Sandwich with Sue(L) and Zoe the owner.
